I have been receiving a lot of questions via comments, e-mails, and Facebook messages regarding the Courtagen Genetic test. And let me tell you….. I GET IT! It’s a super exciting test, and I highly recommend it for all the children or adults out there with medical issues going on. This test provided us answers as to what was really going on with our son. Since we have received his results, we have implemented the protocol Dr. Catanzaro and Dr. Boles put together, and we have been very happy.
So I thought I would write a post about my experience and Tips regarding the Courtagen test to make it easier for you!
Step 1 – Fill out the Health Coach 7 Courtagen Intake form! It’s a simple process and will take you about 5 minutes to answer the questions.
Step 2 – A rep will contact you, and I STRONGLY recommend applying for Courtagen Care plan. Ask your rep. This program can get you the genetic testing for $0 – $200 max. A huge deal! This program is based on your debt to income ratio. This accounts for your mortgage, utilities, car, clothing expenses. Also don’t forget to account for all the supplements, therapy appointments, special food diets, and regular doctor appointments, all medical expenses that you already pay for monthly. These things add up!
My 8 year old was able to do the standard kit, and completed it in about 30 seconds. However, my 5 year old, at first had a little trouble. I was happy I had the assisted kit for her, which contained a sponge type swab. But half way through the collecting of saliva, she caught on and no longer needed to use the sponge. But still, was glad I had it. =-) Fill out the label and paperwork, and put your kit in the mail.
If you child happens to have an issue even with the assisted saliva kit, you can contact Courtagen and they will pay for a blood draw service to show up at your home to collect a sample.
Step 4 – Waiting……. This test takes about 4-6 weeks to complete. So try to find something constructive to do. =-) Maybe take up a new hobby, learn a new skilll…… Or you can be like me and Google Google Google. LOL You can also watch the Courtagen videos on YouTube to kill some time.
Step 5 – Go over the test results with your Dr. Whom has also already consulted with a Dr. affiliated with Courtagen. Dr. Catanzaro at Health Coach 7 was great to work with, and went through our Courtagen results in a very professional and knowledgeable fashion. I felt like our sons results were in great hands. So if you do not have a doctor that you feel is knowledgeable in genetics, I highly recommend Dr. Catanzaro.
Through Courtagen testing we found out Anthony has a couple genetic conditions that were impacting his life. Generally speaking, he has a fasting intolerance, and an issue with insulin/blood sugar (dysglycemia) which Magnesium Citrate greatly helps. His body also requires supplemental B5 and Riboflavin for a couple other genetic conditions.
I am happy to say that my son is doing great on his new medical protocol based off his Courtagen and 23andMe test results. This test is incredibly valuable and I am so glad that we did it.
